Family

A family is a set of similar products. For example, “iPhone” and “Calculator” are products and they can be added in a family named “Electronics”. While creating a quote, searching for products becomes easier if they are categorized.

Note: Adding an item in a family is optional. When you create an product, you can choose on which family you would like to place it.

 

Creating Family

To create a family:

1. In the top Navigational Column, click the Products tab and select Families.
2. Click the New button.

 

Deleting Family

Important: Categories can only be deleted if there are no products added to it.

To delete a family:

1. In the top Navigational Column, click the Products tab and select Families.
2. Click options in the List of Families section, under the Option column for the family to be deleted.
3. In the pop-up window, click Delete.

The category is deleted.

Editing Family

To edit a family:

1. In the top Navigational Column, click the Products tab and select Families.

   All the categories shown under the List of Categories section.

1. Click options in the List of Families section, under the Option column for the family to be deleted.
2. In the pop-up window, click Edit.
3. Edit the category name in the field provided.
4. Click the Save button.

   The category name is changed.
